IDEATHON
In the frame of the IV World Conference on Creative Economy the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan jointly with the IT Park Uzbekistan launches the first Ideathon on the topic of: "Bridging creativity gap – building inclusive space for creatives in Uzbekistan" to take place 2-3 October, 2024.
Context:
Are you a creative thinker, a problem-solver and want to make a difference? We invite you to join this Ideathon where you’ll work with like-minded individuals to develop innovative ideas and address pertinent challenges within the creative industries. Whether you're a student, an entrepreneur, or an aspiring enthusiast, this is a great opportunity to demonstrate your talent, exchange knowledge and skills, learn from experts, and contribute to the development of creative economy in Uzbekistan.
What to Expect:
- Collaborative Environment: Work in teams with participants from diverse backgrounds;

Criteria for Participation:
- Age: 18 – 35 y.o.
- Passion for Creativity: Participants should demonstrate a strong interest in the creative industries (through education, work experience, or personal projects);
- Diverse Backgrounds: We encourage applicants across multiple backgrounds, including but not limited to arts, design, technology, and business;
- Team Player: The ability to work well in a team is essential;
- Problem-Solving skills: Participants should be able to think critically and apply creativity to solve complex problems.
STEPS AND CALENDAR:
Application submission: 12 – 25 September, 2024
Coaching and Ideation session: 2 October, 2024, The Republican Children’s Library in Tashkent. You will benefit from collective coaching and support phase to prepare you further for the pitch. The mentors and coaches will select the best 10 teams for the final Demo Day presentation.
Ideation and Demo Day: 3 October, 2024. IV WCCE at CAEx, Tashkent. During this day you will finalise your projects and present them in front of the panel of international experts who will vote to choose the winning project. The event will be followed by an awards ceremony and networking opportunities.
